Another early morning. Went back to Tian an Men square for another last look around. Also saw a bit of the wheelchair marathon as it passed by the square. Then I went off to the Lama Temple, so see a bit about the Buddhists in China. Of course the current Dalai Lama has never been there! I think I can still smell the incense in my clothes, and despite so many people around, you still had a sense of reverence for the religion. So many beautiful buddha statues, representing so many facets of buddha!

This afternoon we go to the summer palace. and then this evening we catch an overnight train to Xian!
