Today I started a five day tour of the 'Best of Devon and Cornwall'. Missed out on this part of England when I did the UK tour and it is a part of England I really wanted to see.

Started badly-the bus was 1 1/2 Hours late. Pretty bad for a tour I thought-especially a short tour. But got to chat with some people from the tour (who were at my hotel) while we waited and they seem nice. :)

First stop was Stonehenge. Yes I have been there before-but it was actually pretty great getting to be there with no crowds whatsoever! You really got to check it out and feel the history-which was pretty cool. Then we headed to Salisbury. Had seen the Cathedral so was great to get to check out the town this time. Got a nice traditional English lunch. They had the markets on which was fun to check out. Got to have some traditional English sweets including yummy sour-apple cable. Only unfortunate thing was it turned my tongue bright yellow which took quite a few toothbrushings to get rid of. But it was worth it.

Staying the night at Bideford. Had an included dinner at 'Country Cousins' restaurant-was a fantastically traditional meal. Felt like home-cooking and haven't had anything like it in months!
