Went on a walking tour of the old city. Saw the oldest Synagogue in Poland. It is near 'Ariels' a famous Jewish restaurant. Visited the castle and cathedral on Wawel Hill and saw the fire-breathing dragon statue (near dragons cave). Very Cool. Then went back into the old town and visited the Mariacki Church. Amazing frescoes. Have a huge altar piece that has doors so it can be shut up. It was stolen by the Nazis during the war and only recently returned as they had to prove it belonged to their church. Visited the old Cloth Hall-an old market place where they sell traditional polish things. A must see for souvenirs and amber etc. Didn't buy anything as feeling very ill and had the flu-and the cold rainy weather didn't help!
