Am finally in the UK!! Just wish I wasn't so jet lagged-was a 24 hour flight from Auckland to London with a fuel stop in LA. Got in after midday on Saturday 14 June. The flight was pretty ok-splurged and went premium economy so would get extra leg room-and it was so worth it!! The stewardess' were lovely and gave me lots of travel tips-and I had a fantastic old guy next to me on the leg from LA to London and we talked the whole time-which didn't help with the jet lag!! Ended up not doing much the first afternoon as was so tired so did the boring thing and crashed early :)

Sunday was still feeling very jet-lagged so mainly worked out the tube and did a bit of exploring around Regent and Oxford streets in the city. Saw Piccadilly Circus with their lights-somehow they look more impressive on the telly.

SAW A FOX!!! He (or she) likes to sun himself on the roof of the building next to my hotel. Very cool-very excited at first fox sighting! Took loads of photos to bore people with back home.

Today (Monday 16th June) went on a 'Big Bus Tour' of London to get my bearings. It included a cruise up the Thames which was cool as got a great view of London Bridge and Big Ben.

Just beginning to realise am really in London!!!

Went for dinner tonight with Louise's friend Kate-was great to catch up. Went to a little pub around the corner from the hotel (my first english pub!).

Tour starts tomorrow!
