To day is my last day in Paris and I am trying not to think about it too much otherwise I'll be spending the day feeling sad that I am leaving instead of enjoying it.
Last night was our farewell dinner and it was really strange to think that I probably won't see many of these people again. Of course my friends who I've become close with I will make an effort to see but it is unlikely that we will all be in the same place at the same time together again.
This week has mostly been dedicated to getting ready for Nice it seems. Nate and I have been trying to get all of our planning done (of course leaving some space for some spontaneous excursions).
On Tuesday Emilee, Nate, and I went to the Tuilerie gardens where there is a carnival with a ferris wheel. A friend of ours suggested that we go up it because the view of Paris is so nice. She was right! This was probably my favorite view so far (the Arc de Triomph is now second). Since it is so close to the Louvre you get a really good view of the museum and all of Paris.
Today I have my last class and then I am going to be trying to fit in all of my goodbyes and one last trip to My Berry (the yogurt shop). Plus I have to pack and I have dinner with Monica tonight. Crazy day!
Next time I write I'll be in Nice!

Nice travels
Hi Kristina,
Let us know when you get safely to Nice. I'm glad you will have someone to travel with that you know. What are your plans in Nice? Will you travel from Nice or stay there?
The view from the ferris wheel did look panoramic. You look so tan and happy!
It is still 100 degrees each day here - typical Texas weather. Robert is having fun at band camp learning to march and hold his instrument right. They also have 4 hours of playing practice each afternoon, so he's really tired by the time he gets home each day.
We'll be looking forward to the next chapter...'Nice'!
Love,
Mom
