Hello for a second time today!
I am trying to update as often as possible when I have internet. Sometimes the internet is too weak here to work and sometimes it is fine.

This morning I woke up and went exploring around the area. I found a really nice book shop that also has some really unique school supplies. I am going to have to limit visits there or else I'll spend all of my food money on books and school supplies! I also took the metro to the University Cafeteria. I had pineapple, rice, carrots, a kabab, and a yogurt all for 2.80 euro! I am definitely going to be returning there for my midday meals as often as possible.

At 2:45 I met with the group at the Musee d'Orsay which is literally across the Seine from the Louvre Clock at the Musee d'Orsay

. The Musee d'Orsay was one of the coolest museums because it is in an old train station. It seems like a popular thing to do to put a museum in an old palace and that is pretty and everything, but sometimes it seems overwhelming to have a huge palace and then on top of it all of these huge works of art.  So the train station was a nice change of setting.  The Musee d'Orsay houses many impressionist works and quite a few sculptures including some of the Degas ballerinas.

The same lady who has been giving us tours through Paris gave the tour through the museum. It was really fun because she pointed out all sorts of details about lines and color and light and made comparisons between many of the paintings. Of course the museum was completely crowded so it was pretty difficult at times to see things, especially the really well known pieces. Thursday nights from 6pm- 10pm the museum is free for students though. I am planning on going back so I can get a better look at things and hopefully  it will be less crowded.

After the tour I tried to find a super maket type place with a couple of other girls. We ended up going to a smal l fruit stand and by the time I wandered home and ate what I bought I was exhausted. I sat in bed to read some and the next thing I knew Monica was home and woke me up!

Tomorrow is my first day of classes and I am really excited to get started. I feel like once I start taking classes I'll see my French improve.
