I'm finally in my home stay! Yesterday was long and frustrating. I got to my home stay 5 hours later than I was supposed to because it took so long to drop off everyone before me. A group of three of us had to wait at the hotel and we ended up going down to the Seine and splitting a bottle of wine. We were all frustrated that we were pretty much forced to waste the entire day but it was good to get to be better friends with these girls.
Once at my home stay things got better. Monica, the woman I am staying with, is so nice. She made a really nice dinner of eggplan parmesan and we had a really long conversation over dinner (all in French!). There is also a guy named Kyle staying with us here. He is from San Diego and speaks a little less French than I do but it is nice to have one other person around.
My room is quite large. I have a tv which is nice because I can watch the news in the morning and basically get a constant flow of French coming in at least.
Today is another pretty lowkey day. I am planninng on exploring the area and then we have a tour of the Musee d'Orsay later on in the day!
