We arrived in Ystad l;ate in the afternoon after a drive along the coast on E22 and then down to Ystad. We checked into the Continental Hotel.
Ystad is a neat town. There are many buildings that date back to the Middle Ages. Many of them have plaques identifying the year the structure was built.
St. Peter's Church was built in 1267 After the Reformation, when the Franciscans were displaced, the building became a monastery hospital. In the 1700s the building was used as distilleries and granaries. It was decided to tear down "the debris of the buildings due to lack of maintenance. Far-sighted citizens rescued and renovated the building between 1909 -1912.
The churrch has flower and herb gardens on the left side.

Tne next morning we headed back to Copenhagen to catch our flight back to London to catch our connecting flight back to the US.
