We drove across the København-Malmö Drogden Tunnel and Øresund bridge. This is the fastest way to cross the sound though it is not inexpensive to use (as I remember it was some $30). In Malmo we picked up E6 and headed north. We stopped in Ängelholm to exchange money and for lunch. We then drove up E6 and decided to spend the night in Fredrikstad.
We picked the Victoria hotel and it was old but suitable. We drove down to the waterfront to find a place to eat. We finally came across a place that was obviously popular judging by the number of patrons. It was called The Sir Winston Pub, it had an English motif and good hamburgers and beers. When we received the bill, we found that prices are pretty expensive there (later we found this the case throughout Norway).
The next morning we started out for Oslo.
