Next we steamed to Vik. We were booked on a trip to meet the ship in another town Flam. Our first leg was by coach where we traveled to Voss. There we had lunch and boarded a train to Myrdahl. At Myrdahl we boarded another train, the Flåmbana, to take us to meet the ship. It was a very scenic and interesting trip.

These all wood churches used to be found throughout Norway but now only about 30 remain.

We motored on highway 13 south from Vik. The road went up through the high country where there were lakes and streams, no trees, but shrubs, grasses and moss. On the road to Voss

Along the road there were privately-owned chalets that are fully stocked with supplies where skiers can use them and they leave funds to cover the supplies they used.

There were numerous small summer farms where, in years past, the lowland farmers would bring their stock up here to graze in the summer months. Farmhouse on the road to Voss

We passed one beautiful lake where the reflections of the mountains were mirror-quality. You could turn the photo upside down and it would almost look the same!

Everywhere you looked there was water, waterfalls, lakes, streams, rivers, and so on. Waterfall near Voss
