This weekend was our group excursion to Switzerland to visit Basel.  As Switzerland's third largest city, Basel has a scenic location along the Rhine where borders of Switzerland, France, and Germany all meet.  I find it pretty cool that the city therefore has suburbs that lie in all three countries.

Upon our arrival we got a brief tour of the city and then had a chance to explore on our own.  We stopped in at the Basel Minster, one of the cities biggest landmarks.  It is probably best known as the burial site of Erasmus, with his gravestone located inside of the church.  We decided to try out the Basel Paper Mill Museum.  Being a museum that deals exclusively with paper, I went in without any sort of expectations.  I was more than pleasantly surprised by the experience.  It was interesting seeing how paper has actually been produced for centuries, and I even came away with my own paper souvenirs!
