We have never seen rain like we had in Noosa. We got picked up taken to our hostel which was really nice. The room was basically a posh shed, but with big glass sliding doors. As soon as we got there it absolutely chucked it down, and did not stop until the middle of the night. By 3pm it was dark, it was that bad. We had no food, so were forced to go into town to buy some supplies. We were also forced to eventually give in and buy an umbrella :( not what you expect to be buying in Australia. That evening there was nothing we could do, so we rented a DVD and watched it in bed with a bottle of wine and Tim Tams!

The next morning the sun was shining and we were going to Australia Zoo! CRIKEY. We were both very excited and couldn't wait to see all the animals. It was fantastic, and we were not dissapointed. We got to feed Kangaroos, they were really docile and we got to stroke them. We also fed some goats and baby pigs, and saw every type of Australian animal you could imagine. The crocs were massive, and pretty scary. We watched the croc show which Steve used to do, and this time his wife, Terri, was doing it. We saw Dingoes, Wombats, Koalas, Kangaroos, Wallabies, Tasmanian Devils, Tigers, Elephants, Emus, Cassowarys (bloody evil looking things), lots of colourful birds, and lots of scary looking snakes. It was so cool!

Noosa was a lovely little seaside town with lots of restaurants, very much a holiday destination. On our last day we were able to spend the majority of it by the beach, apart from the one rain shower. We had a really nice time in Noosa and were looking forward to our next stop!
