But not much compares to Arches. This is officially one of my favorite parks. If you're going to hit only one of the Utah parks, make it be this one. Everything in the park looks fake and/or man-made, which makes it all the more amazing. On the first night in the park, I hiked to see Delicate Arch at sunset. It was a funny scene. There were a collection of East Coasters with their fancy cameras waiting to take pictures at sunset. Just about the time they were ready to take pictures, some Euros walked around and stood under the Arch. All the East Coasters started cussing and yelling that they had been waiting an hour for the perfect light and that the Euros needed to get out of the way. The Euros did not speak English and just continued to stand under the Arch. It was awesome - my two favorite demographics sparring with each other. Greatness.
I was also able to see Wall Arch, which promptly collapsed about a week after I was there. My curse on the parks continues.
I also visited Canyonlands. It's cool, but nowhere near as cool as the Grand Canyon.
