I made it back home after about three months of travel. I really enjoyed my trip, but it was good to be able to get home and relax and not have to worry about getting to the next town or finding a place to stay, and having space for my stuff and getting home-cooked meals is even better. My little brother took over my room, though, so now I'm in his for the length of time I stay at my parent's house. It's time to start looking for a job and, once I get one, to move out.

My trip was great, and I'm glad I went. I plan on heading out again on a similar journey at some point, but I don't know when. I wish I could have traveled more, especially in the western United States, but it was either come home and get a job or work on the road, so I chose home and job. I know some people take jobs on the road, work for a few weeks and keep traveling, but I just didn't feel like doing that. Whenever I stayed in one place for more than a few days I got restless: I think I need friends and/or some more stability, like having my own place and being able to unpack and have my own room, to stay in one place for any longer amount of time, which I just wouldn't have while traveling.

So I'm back, and I hope this experience has changed me for the better. I plan on trying to be more of a traveler in my own town and do some of the more touristy things, as well as just get out and explore more. Hopefully I'll have my eyes open a bit more than I used to and take more pleasure in smaller things. I may update this blog some in the future on interesting things from around Little Rock, but not as often as I did when traveling. I also plan on posting here about any smaller trips I take later.

Oh, and this blog was recently featured on TravelPod's main page! I've almost doubled the total number of hits I've had in this month alone, and we're only halfway through it. Thanks to TravelPod for that, and thanks to all you people who are reading this because of that. Sorry they waited until I was back home, but I'll eventually use this blog on more travels, so if you liked my writing, check back every once in a while.
