Bangkok was a blast for everyone. Partied it up, checked out the Grand Palace, went on the sky train, long tail boat, ferry boat and walked a lot. Partied both nights until 4 or 5. Checked out a Philippino band and they were awesome - reminded us of the (except Sherry) Rec Hall days. Fun, fun, fun!!! Very good to see Erik & Somchai. Booked our plane tickets from the hotel and then were on the plane 2 hours later. Flippin hot here!!

Well we've been here all of 6 days and feel like it's been 6 weeks worth of activities. Day 1 in Phuket brought us to the beach and met several folks. Went for a City tour that lasted 4 hours. Fed monkeys, went to a huge GEM store.

Day 2 brought us to the beach where we enjoyed Jet Ski's, Thai massage and Thai whiskey. Met a local woman who owns a bar here and she gave us some info on places to go. Supposed to meet up with her around 10:00 at Ban Thai for cocktails, but the security guy told us it was closed for the King's B-Day (found out later it wasn't). Tracy located a Starbucks and was thrilled as the coffee here is instant. Walked around the touristy area and were soooo grateful that we weren't staying with all the tourists. Staying off the beat and track a bit (renting 2 bedroom apartment). Had a few night caps at the local bar owned by Jasmin then passed out.

Day 3 brought us to the beach mid morning and didn't leave until sunset. We changed and headed over to Alex & Paso's bar where we managed to entertain many a folk throughout the duration of the night. Alex brought a birthday cake and made spaghetti for everyone. Pissed out of our heads by 03:00. Finally headed home after several folks stopped in over the night wondering about all the laughter. Tamara & Sherry continued on, but both Tracy & I were wiped out from all the activities. Met a bull dyke (scary lady) andof course a lady boy (sweet young man).

Day 4 brought us to Phi Phi Islands via a speedboat. The ride out was unlike any other I've ever been on. Tamara's got the bruises to prove it. Took pic's, but the camera went for a drink in the ocean. Recovered it, but not sure if the memory stick is OK. Camera isn't right now, but it may dry out. Fingers are crossed!!! More worried about pic's taken to date than anything else. Was airborne several times on the way out cause there were 5 meters waves. Was all worth it though. We're all burnt out right now due to the lack of sleep we've all had (maybe 4-5 hours a night). Almost normal for me, but not everyone else! All the gals are going to lay low tonight, but I may venture out for some "sightseeing". We all have sun burns, except for Tracy. She's keeping a journal (thank gawd) cause I'm literally just scratching the surface...

We're still in Ko Samui, having left Ko Phangan a day early. The place we were staying at was full of young white folks, so we really missed being near mostly Thai people. They were mostly young and dumb types. Came back to Samui for 5 days instead of 4 and are very glad we did. Very pretty here, but cloudy almost all of the time. They are having unseasonable weather here (supposed to be dry season). Actually happening all over Asia - it's in the news all the time. Floods everywhere in the south and in Central/Northern Vietnam too.

We're heading back to Phuket tomorrow morning for 5 days, then to Bangkok and over to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. Going to meet back up with the guys in Phuket tomorrow so excited about that. I think Tamara is going to cook up an Xmas dinner in Phuket. We are staying in the 2 bedroom apartments again (same place as last time). Owned by local people and it's quiet. Only a 5 minute walk to the beach.

We're thinking of doing a trip up the Mekong river in Vietnam up to Cambodia. I really want to see Angor Wat, as do a couple others. We are really, really hoping the boys can join us for this trip. I think it all depends on how they do with their products sales in Phuket.

Haven't had a sun burn cause there hasn't been enough of it. It's warm though, so that's good enough for now. I do hope we get some warm days. The tide is highest it's been in 15 years and they haven't had so much rain in 20 years!!! Sea is too rough to swim in, so we'll have the chance to once we're back in Phuket.
