Disembarking off the plane and feeling that awesome warm and humid air was very refreshing! Grabbed a cab, stopped at a market for a few supplies for the room and got settled in. Our place really reminds both of us of Sunset apartments in Phuket. Nice to have a balcony to hang out on. Apparently there are 125 channels but neither one of us are interested in turning on a TV.

Day one: well, well, well. Got settled, went and found a souvenier store and picked up some stuff for each of our families. Gonna keep it simple and just stick to family this time around. Found a local convenience store en-route to/from our hotel to the main road and utilize that a lot. Red Stripe is pretty cheap and nummy! Good beer and she'll be chilling in our fridge.

My goodness it's obvious we've traveled before - had all of our supplies and gifts all within two hours of arriving! Good to go and ready for the night to unfold (and what a night!!).

Decided to walk for a bit and found a local food joint so grabbed a bite and of course a fruity rum cocktail. Decided to venture further away from our place and grabbed a couple red stripes from a local gal on the street and off we go. Didn't take long for a couple of Jamaican guys to walk with us and take us to the local scene in uptown MoBay. Pretty much the only white gals in the area and we thought this is the same as Bangkok, Phuket, Bali, anywhere we've been. Got the grand tour from these guys. We probably walked about 3-4 km's before ending up in this penthouse style bar.

Stayed at this place and bought the boys their beers for taking us out and about. Was just starting to get a bit sketchy, so we told them to bring us back to the sea (easy directions). They reluctantly did and stopped in to a house party (sort of) first. Had a quick beer and off we go. they want some cash for their time! Knew this was going to happen so made sure we had next to no cash on us with an ATM conveniently located directly across the street from our hotel.

Grabbed some cash and sent them on their way - thanks fella's that was truly a local experience and they did make sure we were safe. I knew we had the upper hand by Not having much cash on us...Sherry was a bit more worried than I but it all worked out. Good security at our hotel too - awesomeness all around! Had a night cap when we got back to the room and hung out on the balcony enjoying the nigh time air! Slept like a baby....
