our stay with our dutch friends was great. all the free stuff an'
that! they also took us round the sites as well. where they live,
apeldoorn, there's this really cool monkey zoo! ahh, my furry
brothers!! it was set up really well as well. there enclosures were
very minimalist and allowed the monkeys, especially the small ones, to
roam quite freely. their cheeky bastards as well! you actually have
to put all yer stuff in a monkey-proof bag to stop them from stealing
all your goodies!
we also went to amsterdam and checked out most of the main sites. the
best was goin through the red light district. it was soooo surreal.
there's prostitutes that hire out windows in buildings fronting the
street and basically parade themselves until the entice a client in!
and then there's the coffee shops! soooo easy to get pot. you just
go in and order somethin off the menu, hand over your money, and thats
it, no questions asked! and the gear's fantastic as well! no stone
over the next day, just the beautiful feeling of bein baked!
we're stayin at a campsite now, about 10 minutes from the city. it's
this crazy island filled with tents and caravans and all sorts of
crazy people! we met some nutter irishmen who are just piss funny.
anyway, we're headin to the uk probably tomoz if we can get some
bus/ferry tickets. it gonna be soooo weird havin a place and workin
again. i'd better finish up now, coz the internets on a timer and
i've only got 3 minutes left before it shuts down.
