Okay, so recap! Yesterday morning I got up, cleaned up my kitchen stuff (which meant packing up some candy and cookies to bring with me), and scooted on over to Pride House for an EU for Dummies seminar. Unfortunately it was going on all day, so I only got to see the first bit, but it helped me understand a little bit more about how the EU works. After that, I went to mail some stuff out and there was this hardcore nice guy at the SL office. I asked where I could get stamps and he actually left his counter and came downstairs to show me the store and he even said if I couldn't find a mailbox, as I was leaving shortly to catch my flight, that I could drop off the stuff to him and he'd mail it after work. Man, Swedes rock! Seriously, the nicest people I've met thus far. Not very forward, but definitely nice.

Uneventful flight and I basically spent yesterday walking around Amsterdam and seeing a tiny bit of the city. The canals are everywhere and watch out if it's your first time here. Everyone rides bikes, seriously! They're all over the place and you're liable to get run over if you accidentally walk on the bike roads. I have never seen so many bikes and scooters in my life!

After a bit of wandering, I checked out the gay street and one club, but it was super dead so I ended up walking back to the hostel. It wasn't far, but Amsterdam feels about on the safety level of Paris. Not near as safe as Stockholm or even Dublin, but it could do with better lighting.

Anyway, I really need to find some food as I am starving! Guh! Apparently the hostel I'm in is the largest in the world. It's got over 500 beds or something like that. Anyway, they have a café here, so I may see what they're offering.
