Flag of Sweden  , Stockholm,
Saturday, July 26, 2008

I've officially landed in Stockholm. This was the part of the journey I was most nervous about, as my plane didn't land until 22.00 and I had to get into a new city, at night, from the airport an hour outside town, and check in. Thankfully there was a wonderful woman on the bus who showed me the way and I'm all safe and ready to go.

My last day in Paris, I just hung out with Thomas and we went to a whale exhibit at the Natural History Museum.

I've only been in this city a couple hours but already  I've noticed 2 awesome things:

*EuroPride advertisements are everywhere! I have never seen a city so into Pride! And, I'm sorry, you really don't understand this sort of stuff unless you're gay. To come from a place like Edmonton which is considered decent for the province, a place where you still don't feel like you quite fit in with everyone and you're still hyper-aware of who you are and who hates you for it, to Europe, especially a place like this, and see gay couples everywhere, no one caring about it, and to actually see yourself celebrated is incredible. And people wonder why I want to move to a larger city than Edmonton.

*Swedish guys are officially the hottest men on the planet. Just arriving and getting here from the airport, I'm already wowed by the extreme attractiveness levels of these people. Guh! Now, to see if I can't nab me a cute Swede before I leave! I think I need a good souvenir to take home with me.

Phew! Okay, it's off to bed now. Tomorrow I desperately need to do laundry and then, who knows?

Souvenir
Can you bring me home a cute Swedish boy too? :)

That's so awesome about Pride! I would love to see a place where it is celebrated like that as well.

I am behind on your blogs as I was in Calgary this weekend, so I am off to read more about your adventures!

And, to backtrack, I am jealous of you seeing Moulin Rouge and the Amelie cafe. :p I bought the latter movie recently, so perhaps I will watch it again soon!

Re: Souvenir
If I can find one to keep for me, sure! :D

Ooo! Yes, watch and enjoy! I also got to see a little bit of the places she drew the arrows. :D
