Just a brief entry because, unlike my last hostel, this one charges for the internet. 2£/30 min. Yow!!
Had an awesome final night in Dublin with Jana. We checked out the Dragon and had a couple cocktails because they were on for 5€ special. After breakfast together in the morning, we said our goodbyes.
I arrived in London this afternoon and already I love the city! There's so much activity and excitement and there's even sunshine! I wore my shorts for the first time! (Speaking of which, I should probably do laundry tonight.) I'm a little worried about spending here, though, as it's definitely more expensive than Dublin, what with the pound being where it's at. Oh, well, you only live once!
Off the bat, I'm not as much a fan of this hostel. It's much cleaner and newer, but it seems colder. Plus, interent and breakfast both cost money. Plus, there are a lot of families staying here which is really kind of weird. Shortly after I got in my room, another guy came in named Jan. He's from Germany and only here for 1 night in order to visit a friend. We chatted for a while and got supper together before he headed off to meet up with his friend. After that, I ventured on my own to Old Compton Street and checked out the G-A-Y pub, which was charming, in a run-down sort of way. Now I'm back at the hostel, checking on things and looking forward to hearing from Nick and Jon about hanging out this weekend.
Well, I should use some of this time wisely!

London's prices
For a real shock, walk into a Starbucks... I couldn't believe it!
Exchange rate is actually very good right now... consider yourself lucky. ^_^
