One of the things that was said to me about backpacking in hostels is that you're never alone unless you want to be, and it's so true. I've spent much of the time since my last entry with some new friends I've met in the hostel. Last night, I took Jana, Bryan, and Sean out to the gay clubs. First we checked out the Dragon and that didn't have enough dancing for our tastes. We shortly headed over to the George, though, and had an absolute blast. I think it was Bryan and Sean's first time at a gay club, too, and they both said they had a blast!

After stumbling home at 2.30a, we all crashed (Bryan used to be in our dorm, but he had to go to a different hostel because this one was booked up) then got up a few hours later for the incredible free breakfast. Sean left today, but in the morning he, Jana, and I did some of the 'hop-on, hop-off' sightseeing tour and checked out Trinity College and St. Stephen's Green. After that, Sean headed off to catch his flight, so Jana and I spent the rest of the afternoon together. We watched a local busker do some stand-up and then went to the Irish Museum of Modern Art. There were some great exhibits, but we didn't see the majority of the collection because it was closed due to some ceremony going on.

Jana and I grabbed some lunch with Bryan, as he's leaving tomorrow, then we went on a bit of an adventure. Last night at the club, Jana found one of the Little Gay Guides to Dublin and saw a sex shop on there. So, after lunch, Jana and I took Bryan on his first ever sex shop visit. It was a pretty fun time and I think Bryan learned a bit more about the world. We then checked out a lingerie shop (did you know that some of the lingerie stores here have little sex shops in the back? Crazy!) and split up. I'm about to nap, Jana is going to a BBQ, and Bryan went back to his hostel. We're going to meet up later tonight for a drink.

This has been such a whirlwind so far and I hope the rest of the trip is as much fun as I've had thus far. Meeting people, forming friendships and memories, then moving on to the next connections. It's been a blast! That being said, I'm definitely going to call it an earlier night tonight. It's about time I actually had a full night's sleep. But, for now, a quick nap, supper, and then a drink at a pub. Woo!

Actually, after a quick nap the first day, I was totally adjusted to the time change. I heard that going back to Canada will be really back, though. Hope everything back home is going well!
