Day 3 of Dublin and I'm beat. I've gone out the past 2 nights and definitely have not had enough sleep at all so far.

We had a bunch of new arrivals in our dorm yesterday. Earlier, it was mainly myself, Bryan, and Shawn (both Americans) who were in the room. Then, yesterday, Jana (from Germany & Ukraine), Monica, and Monica's friend whose name I can't remember (even more Americans), and two other guys (still more Americans) were int the dorm, too. Though, I have to say while most everyone's been awesome, these two new guys definitely suck the fun out of the room. They just came here from London and all they've done is bitch about how London is better and they have no money and all this stuff. Shawn and I told them about some of the things to do in Dublin and it was just crazy because they were totally dismissing the place without even knowing what's here. They're trying to get out of their booking early and I hope for everyone's sake they do. I, for one, am having a great time here, though the weather is definitely too dreary for my tastes.

After supper, Bryan, Shawn, Jana, and I went for a quick drink at the Panama. I left after a bit and headed to the George on my own. Ended up staying the night in Howth, kind of a suburb or smaller town on the outskirts of Dublin. I only returned to the hostel not long ago and am waiting for them to finish cleaning the room so I can nap and shower.

Another thing I've noticed about being here is the religious presence. It's just another different thing going on. I actually see priests and nuns walking about town and I don't think I've seen a nun since elementary school when we had one as a vice principal. Even on the bus from Howth to Dublin I observed elderly ladies crossing themselves as we passed churches and cemeteries. Definitely a cultural difference, for sure.

Anyway, there are people waiting to use the computer and I really should nap. Don't think I'll go out tonight because I'd love some sleep and cover is expensive here. 8€ just to get in. Yow!
