Staying at the shambala resort on Big Buddha beach, right on the beach, fairly quiet, loads of cats and dogs....
It is run by an English couple and we all know what that means...yes marmite on the menu, and not that rubbish New Zealand version either, proper Blighty jar of it- yum yum, last time I had any was in Cusco back in October!
Today I went for a stroll up to see the Big Buddha which is on a little island connected to the mainliand by a road, but other than that just been lounging on the beach and reading.
Samuii not as developed as I thought it would be (although staying in an officially 'quiet part'), pretty relaxed atmosphere. Keep getting puppies running up to me on the beach, which is better than the more large and aggressive dogs on Ko Tao. Spent a good hour today throwing a stick in the sea for a golden retriever pup, lazy days...

Isn't it all coming to an end soon? What have you got left to do? Very jealous - you are far braver than I ever was. You look so happy in all of the photos - so glad you took the plunge. Amanda x
