Hello, just got into Chaing Rai following a 3 hour bus trip ffrom Chiang Rai, am on my own again as Kathryn headed for Bangkok this morning, was good to have a travel companion for a few days though.

Anyway am staying at a nice guest house called Baan Bua, which is 33% more expensive than the last place (4 quid) ; much cleaner, bigger room, newish bathroom- big improvement, although have booked to go back to Julie's when I go back south in a few days as am hoping to get one of the nicer rooms, and the place was really friendly and central.

 Chaing rai is a smaller town than Chiang Rai but along the same vein; big tourist economy and cafe culture...happy to relax here for a couple of days (get a massage or 3), and probably do a trip up to the golden triangle.
