Hello all,
I got sunburnt yesterday (in December!) whilst lying on a lilo on Jen and Chris's pool, it is roasting here! Today we went to Byron Bay (home of Yogalates!) which is a nice little hippy town on the gold coast, nice walk up to the lighthouse, along the beach and then a late lunch in the shade.
Tomorrow is Christmas day and we are intending to lounge by the pool makling our way through a selection of local wines (again), before goimg to visit some of Jen and Chris's friends on the Gold Coast for Boxing Day.
Have to say house is fab, and my newly decorated bedroom is very impressive (nice paintwork Jen!),.
Also have to say am impressed in general with the Australian approach to christmas which is less psychotic shopping frenzy, and more strolling around in the sunshine eating ice-cream.
Anyway Merry Christmas, hope you all have a great holiday.
Love Julie xxx
Spent Boxing day visiting friends of Jen and Chris near Surfers Paradise, and the next day I got picked up by Colin from jen's 'office' to go to Paul's 'office' for morning coffe (my second south american reunion so far). Was fun catching up with them and gossipping about life on Frank. Colin then took me around the Brisbane botanic gardens before dropping me at the airport; actually he waited with me for my flight- so polite or was he just making sure I left?).
