So two of the bears are called Jaon and Jess

Today was a good day I got to do the bears food today and I found out that two of the bears are called Joan (My mum's name) and Jess I just need to find a David (Dad) and I'll have a set!!!
We have four bear enclosures with ten, three and two singles bears. I did the singles, Oompoo and Joan; you do it twice once in the morning and again in the evening, in the morning you clean them also. You have to peel Joan's food as she was a pet and she doesn't know how to get into sweetcorn. she likes shoots in the afternoon. Mel, one of the volunteers left me in the enclosure with Joan locked up in her hut; still scarey tho.
Then this afternoon I cleaned out the buckets for the monkeys and Gilbert got me! So much for Marilynn saying he was cute; not that bad really.
At 11:30 I was shattered so slept through lunch until 2:00!!! It is so hot and humid here that you really can't do alot before you flake out. I have never drank so much water in my life but you so need it. Had a cold water shower but to be honest it wasn't that cold and felt great. The only down side so far are my bites which are real bad and it's only day two.

hi jules,
wow, talk about in at the deep end!! next thing you know you'll be writing about taking some of them home with you (you never know how ueful a ber could be in yeovil!!)
it's good to see that you're getting into it. i hope the bites aren't too painfull, i'm sure by the end of it you'll be used to it!
where are you staying? are you still in the hotel (with the 3 ... show all
