After a very cramped overnight flight, we made it into the Frankfurt airport around noon. Exhausted and starving, we found a lovely little bistro/bar and ordered lunch. Most of us either got paninis or curried bratwurst with fries. I, of course, opted for the bratwurst. It was glorious and delicious and complimented my Pinot Grigio well. Most of the group drank German beer and who could blame them? It smelled delicious. (As a side note, I should mention that I have to avoid gluten and dairy due to some pretty severe food intolerances, so no beer for me.)

I think the Mediterranean food will suit me well. I am hoping for lots of fresh veggies and meats. The airline did their best to accommodate my food needs, but the food was sadly lacking and it is possible that I ingested some dairy. That might have added to the slightly sickly feelings I had been experiencing, but the bratwurst helped and then we were lucky enough to get a few hours to sleep sprawled out over several chairs.

Because of the original flight delay and some technology issues, we were once again delayed and are now dealing with getting us all on board for the flight to Malta. Wish us luck!
