University city north west of Buenos Aires. For us it was another big city so we were pretty eager to use it as a stop over to get to a small countryside town called Villa General Belgrano. However one positive is, if you like to party there is something happening every night of the week. Just be prepared not to head to the bar/club until 2am which is quite hard if your name is Josh or Zac as usually by 2 they cannot even stand up. But somehow in cordoba the boys managed to find hot dogs and jump inside an argentine's muscled up car, drop hot dog all through it and break his window winder. Probably not the best thing to do to an argentine covered in tatts!!!

It’s quite a hard place to find clubs and bars that are not commercial, but it is really worth while trying hard to find something fun and different. One night we managed to find a grungy but cool venue that hosted a rock/noise ep launch. Very loose night, Josh never realised you could get a bruise on your head from a box! It was box land mania. But apart from that just another city.

Place to stay: Aldea Hostel

Land of fat frankfurts, juicy meat, duff cerveza, nazi corner stores, chocolate and many many Germans.  It is quite a picturesque town, very cute, and definitely worth making a trip there for a few nights. If you go make sure you trek up the hill to check out the view. As Zac Schultz would say I am ze german.

Josh = 55 hour  Jules = 120 hours thus far

Our plan is to conquer south and central via bus. But over in Argentina buses aren’t just buses.... basically in a nut shell there are three classes. Semicama, Cama and Cama Executive

Most of these huge double decker buses wine and dine you to a similar standard as an international flight except you get mega seats that drop right back...hence the Spanish word cama  = bed! 22hours on a bus is not an enjoyable journey however things are on the up now that we have discovered that  you can get valium over the counter!

Tips for buses:

Shop around and investigate what type of food and alcohol you get because believe me there is a huge difference. Slop with plastic cheese that you spew up at the site (pic!)  compared with entree and a hot dinner.

If travelling by day. Book the front top of the bus...great view especially when crossing the Andes ranges ie Mendoza (Argentina)  to Santiago (Chile)

If keen for a peaceful night sleep...drop valium and book a cama seat down stairs...less noise and better air!

Definitely take an i pod, a book, ear plugs and eye mask. Don’t except to enjoy the movies provided...unless you like action/porno in Spanish.

Take plenty of water because the bus waiters are quite scummy when it comes to refills and some expect tips!

Hope the above info gives you an insight into the Argentine world of buses!

Jules and Josh’s Hot Tips

1)      Suss out a rock gig in cordoba instead of heading to the land of cheesy lady gaga!

2)      Drink coffee and eat chicken empanadas at Cafe Risen, Belgrano

3)      Explore Cordoba for a day...lots of gorgeous architecture and churches

4)      Eat home pasta at Macaroni, Belgrano... only $5 and delicious

5)      Drop Valium prior to jumping on a 22hour bus ride

Hasta Luego Xxx
