Had dinner ...Czech food, goulash...very yummy, with Chris and one of his co-workers, Renato. Fascinating man who has lived in seven countries, 17 cities. He is Brazilian, Italian and U.S. citizen...three passports.
Good day..tomorrow we head to Vienna.
Kids were pretty tired today. We waited til ten to go out...they had breakfast with Chris before he went to work and then walked over to the hotel I stayed in last night. Let them hang loose until they were ready to hit the streets. We walked around a bit trying to find the ATM machine so I could have some Czech cash. That threw Isaac's navigation off and we spent some time "lost"....saw a part of Brno we wouldn't have seen otherwise. Found our way back to the city center so we could climb the hill to the Spilberk castle. Wandered through the castle and found it quite interesting. It held one of the most feared prisons of all. Had a lot of torturing items used centuries ago. Prisoners the were considered guilty and had to prove their innocence. Hard to do when you're being tortured. After we'd gone through the castle we went to the cathedral of Peter and Paul. Beautiful, of course. The Churches built in the 12-14th centuries were really wonders of the world. How ever did they do it without the tools and machines we have at hand today.
