Phoenix Zoo is amazing. They have a light show in December and every animal from a giraffe to sting rays, which you can touch as well.

I also had my first thanksgiving in an American family. It was very nice and good
food. 3 kinds of turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberries, sweet potatoes
and the filling. Afterwards I had Pumkin pie which was very nice as
well. So thank you Christina and Kurt for inviting me.
a few days before we had a nice German dinner at our place. We baked
bread and cooked Sauerkraut with meat and Knödel. delicious. And for the
dessert a nice Christstollen.

Another thing happening this week
was the Football game of our University ASU. The game was not that
interesting but the show was good. There was a band playing, fireworks,
Cheerleaders etc. So it is worth to spend 4 hours there at least ones in my life.

One day when we met as usual with our french friends we decided to climb
the A-mountain to see the sunset. So we spent some time at Starbucks on
Mill and then we walked uphill.

Another evening there was a
very nice light parade on Mill. The Christmas tree got illuminated from
Santa Claus and there was an impressing 30 minutes fireworks. The
decoration of the houses began right after Thanksgiving. Some people are
crazy and do really everything to make their houses stand out of the crowd. So the
Christmas time started but the weather is still sunny and warm like in

The Heard Museum is one of the nicest museums in the state. It shows
the Indean culture and arts, crafts, clothes and much more. We
spent most of the time with the creative stuff for children and created a
flower, a butterfly, a hummingbird etc. It was really fun and when you
are in Phoenix you have to go there.

One day we went out in a
very nice western restaurant in Phoenix, the Rustler's Rooste. There you
could eat nice BBQ steaks and chicken and something nice: a rattle
snake. Yes a real one. It tastes very much like chicken but is harder to
chew. Was worth a try.
