Early this morning we finished all our last minute packing ... oh gawd ... our bags are so heavy with all the shopping we did at Ernakulam! Plus wait ... there's more ... we had to take the ferry back there to collect Alan's pants and do some shopping for Donovan!
When we got off the ferry ... oh yes, let me tell you I was wrong, it did not cost 25 cents for the two of us .. it was actually only 15 cents for both! Okay so we got off the ferry and headed straight to Cafe Coffee Day for some more of that real caffeine, a view of the main street and its swarming masses and for the yumm chocolate delight cake that they make.
I was so happy. My day was made when as we walked in, there was Shah Rukh on the television on a clear big screen doing the song from Om Shanti Om! bbsiggghh! Plus from the sofa I could see the big movie poster on a billboard across the road with him in the now famous shirtless dance scene (Serene ...you would have died with that 6-pack on public display!! ahahahahah) I was snapping photos like a kid in a candy store as I had such a clear view of everyone below.
Okay so you all know this journey includes much eating and just the enjoyment of sitting in cafes and restaurants. We then shared a samosa and had more coffee at another cafe after picking up the boys clothes. Then we caught the ferry back and headed straight to lunch at the place that makes the wonderful seafood platters! We are still so full 2 hours after! Sinful, I tell you! ahahahhahahah Keiron and Mabel you know lah how it is - Alan is so convincing when it comes to where and when we should eat! b4 you know it he will say "ahhh better have some afternoon tea, otherwise on the plane dunno what time we'll get to eat!" ahahahahahah And I will weaken and agree!
Now we are going to see Aunty Macy and her son John who helped in this sinfullness by recommending all the places to eat and shop at! Must say goodbye to them.
And goodbye to you guys too for today. Next stop MUMBAI (Nads, omigod omigod omigod!!!!)
