Today we leave Jaipur on the 5.30pm train. We will miss this lovely place. I had mentioned to my team at work that I am feeling like a Maharani here as our room is so lovely. Here is a picture. Yes, we were able to upload a couple of pics. Drama or what?? Alan did not want to be seen, so they are both of me. Check out the dosa!!! How good does that look?
Forgot to tell you, a couple of days ago, while we were shopping in the Pink City (the old city) we witnessed lots of noise (singing) and dancing. A group of sari-clad transvestites - can't think now of what they are called here, were happily dancing and singing at the top of their voices outside a shop. We have heard that they are supposed to bring good luck. Do you remember on our first trip how Alan was propositioned by a transvestite on the train? ahahahaahhaahahahah, when I saw them, I said : "Hey Alan, your friends
Over the past couple of days we have also met our fair share of creepy auto-rickshaw drivers. Yes, Nads Mummy we got your msg (scolding) about getting into rides with stoned people. But at least he wasn't creepy - just stoned! We have this one guy who I feel is a bit of a stalker - from the start he just did not sit right with my intuition. Then there was one on the way to our dinner last night who started commenting about our jewellery and how Alan MUST have come here on business. When Alan told him it was a holiday - he turned around while driving - looked us up and down and refused to believe him. Then when we got to the restaurant, he told us he would wait for us to finish to take us 'around'. Alan firmly told him with his hand held up to the guy's face "No please don't wait for me."
We have however today just met a nice driver. We were going to the GPO to post back our first parcel, he told us the GPO was not open for at least another hour. So we got out of his rickshaw and told him to come pick us up at 10.30am. He could easily have taken us there and we'd be waiting like idiots in the hot Indian sun.
Feeling heaps better today, the rest yesterday helped. Had a nice soak in the spa, watched Bunty aur Bubbly on TV, slept then went out for dinner. It was very relaxing.
Don't know what to expect at our next hotel. It's supposed to be lovely but you never know! Plus hopefully they have internet facilities.

Dosa anyone?
! Here's your chance!" He wasn't so lucky this time, as they were too busy with their exagerated feminine hip swaying and sashaying! We stood to watch all the fun and frivolity. It was too good, drag show on the streets.Over the past couple of days we have also met our fair share of creepy auto-rickshaw drivers.
