Returning to Vegas to take Jacq back

Today was an early start. We were up at 0430 to get to Grand Canyon in time for our prebooked helicopter flight over the canyon at 1030. We made really good time however enroute we discovered that Grand Canyon was one hour later so actually, we could have got up an hour later!
We went via Page and through the Navajo Reservation to get to Grand Canyon but on arrival, we discovered that the helicopter flights were on hold due to bad weather! So much for getting up early to get there on time. By 1.00, we decided to call it a day when we noticed another helicopter company flying. Long story short, the company we had prebooked with had smaller helicopters not capable of handling the winds that the helicopters of this other company could. So we mosied on over to Maverick, who have these big choppers, and booked with them. Our flight was set for 2.30. Even though there was wind, it didn't affect us at all and it was only the last five minutes or so of the trip we encountered hail. It was incredible. Expensive, but incredible! Poor Jacq, all credit to her, she was so patient. She didn't do the trip but she just tagged along with us as we waited for the weather to clear and then had to wait for the Maverick trip.
It was back to Vegas then afterwards and thinking there would not be any trouble in getting accommodation, we had not booked any for this evening. Hah. What a joke. It was 1030 before we finally found accommodation at the Hilton. In fact, it was there last room! It was shower and immediately to bed!
