Again we wandered through the various hotels in Vegas - in particular The Venetian which has canals meandering through the centre of the hotel with gondolas on the canals. Yeah, the Americans really are over the top. We were disappointed though because we had expected more however, having been through Caesars, everywhere else is unable to meet the same standard. Well, thus far anyway.

Jacq flew in to McCarran International this evening. Now THERE is an experience. What a mess and from what we could see, a total security issue! It seemed that there was absolutely no order to anything and everyone going in all sorts of directions. Probably organised chaos but from where we were standing, it was ridiculously chaotic!

She came through without a hitch though, carrying an esky of reindeer sausage, halibut, moose meat and salmon! Yuuuuumy! Good on ya, Jacq. It was so good to see her and we are both really looking forward to spending the week with her.
