Now here is a place responsible all by itself for the hole in the Ozone layer. All the neon lights in just one street alone! I think it would have been a real funny sight to see our faces when we arrived in Las Vegas. Our eyes popped open, our jaws dropped down and we were totally speechless. Talk about over the top! This place is totally off the planet.
But wait - before we arrived in Las Vegas, today we drove through Death Valley as well as Red Rock Canyon which was quite spectacular. The red in the rock was quite magnificent. Funny thing though, when we arrived at the Park - which was about 3.45 - as we always do we went to the visitor centre. There wasn't a soul around and the place looked totally deserted. We figured it was closed. Just as we were about to pull out of the carpark, out comes the ranger to pull down the flag. Well, Jude pops out of the car quick smart to ask a few questions and most reluctantly, the ranger takes her inside. Well, when Jude comes out again looking most pleased with herself, lock up was only supposed to be at 4.00! Just as well our Jude is so assertive. No stopping her when she is on holiday!
