This morning we did a city tour of San Francisco with commentary on a lot of the famous and mostly touristy places such as Fisherman's Wharf, the crookedest street in the world and of course, Golden Gate. What an excellent driver/tour operator we had. Full of jokes and a great sense of humour, then after treating ourselves to one of the most fantastic icecreams we have ever tasted at the Giardelli Chocolate factory, we took ourselves off for a tram ride. Wow, what an experience and just like you see on the movies with people hanging out of the tram standing on the footplank. Well, that was exactly what it was like with Jude and I hanging out. What a blast that was.

This evening we went on the evening Alcatraz tour - about two hours worth. How interesting it was too. Walking through the prison, guided by an audio tour, it was so interesting to hear about the various characters that were imprisoned there and as well, the riots that occurred there.

My boys don't know how good they have it!

Tomorrow we pick up the car and head out towards Yosemite.
