Today I drove back to Calgary from Golden. The first part of the journey again took me through Field NP, where I revisited Emerald Lake, which was much quieter and clear of snow this time. I then drove back past Banff, and as it was still early afternoon took a new detour along the Kananaskis road into Kananaskis country. I only made it about 30km's, but the scenery was beautiful. I then headed back to Calgary to return the hire car.
    I finally made a decision about my next move. I leave Calgary on Sunday and fly to Victoria on Vancouver Island, and I will spend a week or so driving around there.
