Today, I drove back to Calgary via Yoho National Park. The first stop of the day was Emerald Lake. Pretty much everyhing around the lake was coated with snow and it was a lovely wintery scene. The next stop in Yoho Park was the visitor centre in Field. Some of the roads to the other attractions in the park, such as the waterfalls were already closed for the season. En route back to Calgary through Banff, I stopped at Lake Louise, and a snow flurry started as I was wandering around the Lake. I then drove back to Banff via the Bow Valley Parkway, which runs parallel to the highway but has lots of little places to stop and take pictures of the scenery, and is meant to be a good place for wildlife spotting. The last major stop of the day was Johnston Canyon, which had some pretty waterfalls. Although I didn't make it to the upper falls this time I plan to head back next time I pass through Banff.
