We left Melbourne this morning, and our first stop at the start of the Great Ocean Road was Torquay. We stopped at the information centre here, and the lady was really helpful advising us of campsites and the best places to stop along the way. In Torquay we had a quick stop at the Sundial of human involvement. Which was a beautiful mosaic sundial, which you stood on and your shadow should tell you the time. However, it was pretty cloudy out so it didn't seem to work for us. Next stop was the split point Lighthouse.
We stopped in Lorne for a picnic lunch by the seaside, and then drove up to Teddy's Lookout, which had spectacular views of the ocean and one of the windiest bits of the Great Ocean Road.

We camped the night in Apollo Bay, in a lovely little campground. I think our neighbours had fun watching us attempt to put our tent up for the first time. Even though it's a quick dome and is really quick and simple once you know how. The instructions were pretty similar to the ones that come with flat pack furniture and it took us ages to decipher them. We had a OK nights sleep, except for the fact we had no pillows. It was also pretty windy and we weren't sure if the tent would still be standing by the morning!
