So we made a list of things to do, then a shopping list. And of we went to the local version of 'Home Depot" and surprisingly we found everything we needed, from paint, to eaves troughs, to spikes, etc.
We then went "downtown" to buy some groceries, and I was impressed by the selection available.
Then to the bank to see if a new replacement Visa card had arrived. Not yet.
As we went about town I took the opportunity to snap some shots of the buildings. Enjoy.
We also visited a friend of my daughters and I was overwhelmed by the beautiful garden she had.
Then to my daughter's partner's parents place where an extraordinary vegetable garden is well on its way to harvesting. In fact the tomatoes are due to be picked next week. Remember, this is the Yukon !
So this evening I am painting the trim around all the windows while Sara and Nathan are out volunteering at the Miners' BBQ. This is an annual event when the miners who have been out in the field working long hours since the beginning of the summer get a chance to blow off some steam, while supporting a local charity. Then they go back out to work for the balance of the season.
