Where I stayed
Gaziantep is known as the baklava capital of the world, but I also quickly found out it was VERY cheap here to get lots of good food so I got a bit out of control. First I had a meat donair for 1.50 and found a piece of baklava. Then we walked by one of the best smoothie shops in Gaz so of course I had to try an Atom smoothie: Pistachio, raisins, honey, bananas, other random fruits. Super tasty. Only 2 dollars. Then I took a walk down to the Turkish baths. It was still afternoon so only women were allowed and men could only go after 6pm
It is almost dinner time! Perfect. We were going to go to a fancy donair restaurant but it is full up so we have to make other arrangements. I order a fat chicken donair from their takeaway window. They put double the meat that is normal for most donair places. More fantastic taste. I find more baklava at rock-bottom prices and buy a full container of it. Oh whats this? Some dondurma ice cream at a street vendor. Thanks, I'll have some of that please. I am full.
How does one celebrate their last night and a great time in Turkey? Turkish baths. Me and a few of the lads head down the road to the Hamam and on the way I see some more ice cream I want
Big day tomorrow at the Syrian border. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
