2 hours later we arrived in Kan (as the locals call it) and found it to be very cheap. We found an awesome guesthouse straightaway. It was down on a raft right on the River Kwai and had everything we needed and wanted for a low price. So we settled in quickly.
An hour later we found ourselves heading to the famous Tiger Temple
And that was pretty much it for Kan as we needed to get to Chiang Mai quickly, so we left the next morning to catch a night train to Chiang Mai from Bangkok. Once we arrived back in Bangkok, we didn't let the day go to waste though. We caught a tuk-tuk to Chatuchak weekend market. It was quite crazy, virtually anything could be bought there at unbelievably low prices. There are about 200'000 visitors a day there so we only spent about 3 hours before we had enough of the crowds and noise.
After that it was just a matter of making it to the train station for our sleeper train to Chiang Mai.
