The landscape changed, a little with more rolling hills and trees.
Spent the afternoon touring the town of Hannibal along the Mississippi, boyhood home of Sam Clemens, Mark Twain. This was the first stop where we had a chance to get close to the Mississippi River. Not hard to see how this river had influence on Mark Twain, the river is wider than the town. Whether it is because it is spring or this is the usual flow but the river is moving very fast and overflowing its banks.
