After a few days at the beach i decided to 'bail' on Costa rica and check out Panama. Only an hour bus ride south, we crossed a bridge on foot into Panama. We grabbed another collectivo, where we were stopped by a passing "train" of bananas. Then we got on a boat where we got soaked as we traveled to Isla Colon and the town called Bocas del Toro, Panama. What a cool town..lots of water activities..including snorkeling, diving, surfing and sailing..lots of islands all around. I think i found the place i might retire......
Anyway, we did an all day tour which included spotting dolphins, snorkeling, and swimming in the biggest waves (Red Frog Beach)ive ever swam in...i got pounded over the head with one..and it felt like a solid object!! I happened to be in Bocas during their independence celebration...so we got to see an entire day of parades..mostly drums and girls in crazy outfits..unfortunately it rained...no poured..all day..The president of Panama showed up for the celebration.

On to panama city..by plane....
