Good Morning from good old Soithth Arffrica (you have to say it without opening your mouth),

You will have to excuse me if this journal entry does not make to much sense as I am nursing a nasty hangover which I have titled "Worst Hangover of the trip so far"

Well the last 3 days or so we have been at The Khalagri Gemsbok National Park. This park crosses over two countries - that of Sth Africa and of Botswana. There was originally two separate parks, but in 2000 they merged to allow the animals to follow their migration path each year. And just incase you were wondering the animals do not Visa's to cross between the countries...and do not carry passports!. I know that was on your mind!

The big thing this week is that we saw lions, now I do not mean from 1500 metres away, I am talking about 5 metres away. I know it is very cliche but that is what Africa is - big arse cats! I can defiantly tell you why they are the King of the jungle - very majestic and regal animals. I offered to go and wrestle with the lions for some action shots, but the driver would not let me! Would have made great postcards!!!

Just thought I would share some statistics with you about the animals I have seen:

5 lions,
1 leopard
2 cheetahs,
4 Rhinos,
7 Water Buffalo
152 Elephants,
435 Giraffes
987 Hippos
7654 Zebras
89,765 Wilder Beast
278,987 Impala
4,567,987 Springbok

As you can see I have stretched the truth a bit, but it makes me laugh that when we first started the trip, you would see a Zebra 500 metres and we would stop and take pictures - a tiny dot on the horizon. A week later after seeing thousands of them, there would be one 1 metre from the truck and you would think, if I take another photo that would be my 3rd roll on just zebras! Ah just drive on!

4 days to go and then up to Morrocco town. Have a 8 hour stop over in London and I believe Mr Jereme is going to meet me for some beers and to plan our Ireland trip! Watch out Dublin here come some crazy arsed Aussies!!!!

Anyway, we are on our way to Capetown. I hear it has been freezing in Capetown 2 and 3 degrees, not looking forward to that after this weather in Central Africa. I do believe that Australia and Sth Africa are playing in the Tri Nations - so this little Aussie will be finding a stool, beer and some Sth Africans to heckle as we kick their butt I hope!

Any I am off to find some panadol and sleep of my hangover (again) till next time - Bye Bye!
