Well, we are officially 19 hours away from our flight out of Golden Triangle Regional Airport (KGTR for you aviation buffs) which, of course, will take us to Atlanta where we'll sit in the international terminal for about three hours before leaving the states for good.
Our airline of choice, as it always has been, will be Delta. Also the ONLY airline you can choose out of GTR. Despite the ribbing Delta has received over the years, I've never had a problem with them. I think airline travel is one of those things that you either decide you like or don't. Amazing to most of you, I'm sure, is that I've chosen the first of the two. Of course, having a love for flying does help matters.
When we depart Atlanta tomorrow night around 10:10 p.m.
We've spent most of the last two days just packing and repacking, making sure we have all the necessities, and just gearing up. I mowed the yard and played frisbee and catch with Indy for what will probably be the last time before we leave this afternoon. Indy will be in the very capable hands of Amy Robertson, who thoroughly enjoys dogs in general, and we appreciate everything she's doing for us while we're on the road.
We ate dinner last night with most of the rest of the 16-member party at Mi Hacienda since no one seems to have any food in their house at this point.
Our group is taking some weird turns in finally meeting up in Shannon on Tuesday. Some of us are flying straight to Shannon from Atlanta, while others are going via Paris. That's because, at the end of the trip, part of the party will be headed to London and the other half to Normandy, France, to take in the military history there. That half will come back home through Paris.
That's about all I've got for tonight. I know that's not exactly stellar material, but I expect it to pick up a tad here in the next couple days. Hope everyone had a good weekend. We'll talk to you next from somewhere on the road!

ET, we'll be on a 7-hour, 40-minute journey direct to Shannon, Ireland. We land @ 10:50 a.m. IST (Irish Summer Time), 4:50 a.m. here in the Central Time Zone, so I'll make sure to place wake up calls to everyone. We've spent most of the last two days just packing and repacking, making sure we have all the necessities, and just gearing up.
