Mykonos, Greece

Things We Did:

Got lost in the labyrinth town of Mykonos

Tried to find a white sand beach. Failed

Walked along the waterfront

Came across three huge pelicans that stank like bagoong

Found cheap beer at a local grocer

Food We Ate:

People We Met:

Donkey Man- Somewhere in the maze of Mykonos we squeezed past a little old Greek man
leading a big fat donkey loaded up with goods from the market. He smiled a big gap toothed grin (the man, not the donkey), and patiently waited as the tourists (which included us) surrounded him to take pictures. He smiled as if he was used to it, didn't ask for a single penny, than quietly led his donkey off onto some side street away from the crowds.

Dragos- A Romanian cocktail server. He works in the Explorers Lounge. At the end of the trip he bought me and one of the "Li-Girls" a shot called "Green Dragon", only he seriously rolled his rrr's as he said the name, which added character to the drink. He asked us if we enjoyed our cruise, and laughed when we said it was cool even though there was a lot of old people. He said the crew liked our group because we were one of the youngest on board, and that we were different and had style.

Brian- A cocktail server from the Philippines working in Skywalker's Nightclub. Both he and Lito had a monopoly on serving us our drinks. One night, as we stepped in, before we even sat down he came up to us and told us he'd be back to take our drink orders and not to give it to anyone else. Sure enough, as we sat down, one of the other servers came up to us. Brian immediately returned and cut right in. The other guy just walked away with a grin.
