We arrived in Prague on the 18th, checked into our VERY nice hotel that Georg managed to get with credit card points, and wandered through the city.  After getting some advice from Dr. Coggeshall, an anthropology professor at Clemson that takes a group to Prague every year, we headed straight to Charles' Bridge.  We stopped on the way and bought two Kozel beers, a local beer that Dr. Coggeshall recommended.  We then wandered through the town and found the Town Hall as well as St. Nicholas' Church.  We also walked up to Prague Castle, which overlooks most of the city.  There were some absolutely breathtaking views from up there.  We stopped in a little restaurant on the way back to our hotel and ate a traditional Czech meal.  I had a delicious goulash.  After a short nap we headed back out on the town to try and find a famous five-story club (Karlovy Lazne).  It turned out to be a pretty crazy place.  We made it back to our hotel and crashed hard so we could get up early and continue exploring.

On the 19th, we checked out of our hotel and stowed our packs in the luggage room there.  We headed to Charles' Bridge to get an inside tour which was really cool.  We climbed to the top of the tower and managed to see most of the city.  We also went back to St. Nicholas' Church and went inside to take a look.  As we were getting ready to leave, we also found a communism memorial that contained some crazy statues.  We then headed for the train station.

While we were waiting for the train, we were notified that the train we were hoping to take was delayed.  This happened for every train we were trying to take.  To make a long story short, we ended up staying awake the majority of the night talking to two Venezuelan girls who were in their late 20's while we were locked in the train station until a train arrived.  We then said goodbye to our South American friends and headed on our first train to Wangen.
