I decided to enter Russia via Finland for several main reasons.  First, the trains don't run very often to St. Petersburg and the 7 hr bus ride did not sound very appealing.  Next, I still had my Eurail pass which gave me a 50% discount on the ferry and paid for the Finland half of the train trip to St. Petersburg.  Oh yeah.. by going through Helsinki I can add one more country to my list of places visited.

I've been to Helsinki already and was only staying for a short time so there aren't many photos for this entry.  Also, I spent a lot of time visiting banks and trying to get money wired to a company in the US to pay for a Mongolia tour.  That proved very irritating and totally unsuccessful.  Any business that advertises on the internet had better damn well accept credit cards.

Well...the money wiring thing got sorted out with some help from home. (Thanks mom!)

And now I'm off to Russia
