Our disappointment has passed, and we are now traveling through the Fjords. It's beautiful and reminds us of the Mulborough Sounds, and the Milford and Dusky Sounds areas. Probably a little more barren though. Very mountainous with snow on some of the mountain tops. We are told the area will be covered in snow in a months time. Today is overcast with a little sun popping through at times. Still very cold and windy. Some brave soles like myself, pop outside for photos and exercise, otherwise the ship is cosy and warm inside. Our favourite spot is up in the crows nest. You get a panoramic view forward. Mind you not always easy to get a seat.

For the last day and night, the ship has travelled very slowly. The Captain is using up time in sheltered waters while a front passes. This morning we left the safety of the Fjords and headed out and up the coast for a couple of hours. It was necessary to exit and return further up the coast as the ship could not traverse the narrow channels. We experienced quite rough conditions with 35 foot waves and 70mph winds. Nothing our ship couldn't handle. We have now re entered the Fjords and are making our way through more wonderful scenery. We've seen two ship wrecks this morning also dolphins and birds. Our arrival at Brujo (Bruho) Glacier will be tomorrow morning.

What a magnificent site Brujo Glacier was. The ship crawled up a narrow channel through floating ice, and steep mountains, around a corner and there it was. We've seen Fox and Franz Joseph before, but never one that finishes into the sea.

Leaving the Fjords we head out to sea again. This time the sea is quite a bit rougher with a good swell. We love it!!! At times the waves breaking up over the ship.
